A private coastal retreat on the Llŷn Peninsula in North Wales, near Eryri (Snowdonia) and Ynys Môn (Anglesey)

Ty Coch is a private holiday let designed for families and friends to reconnect — with each other and with nature. Located just outside the medieval village of Clynnog Fawr on the wild Welsh coast, it sits within easy reach of Eryri (Snowdonia), Ynys Môn (Anglesey) and the sandy beaches of the southern Llyn.

Beautifully restored buildings

Five acres of natural beauty

Between the sea and mountains

Ty Coch is a beautiful slice of wild Wales all to yourself. The buildings open directly onto five acres of natural beauty, with green lanes meandering down past the stream and nature ponds to your own private beachfront.

The most magical place to spend special time with loved ones. The sun shone, we enjoyed the outdoors, swam in the sea, cooked on fire, it was amazing - thank you so much.

Low carbon since 2009

Ty Coch was built with sustainability at its heart, the heating and hot water are provided by ground source heat pumps run on 100% renewable electricity. We use local suppliers for toiletries, logs & charcoal and our welcome hampers. To encourage wildlife we began ‘rewilding’ in 2009 (although it wasn’t called that then), we intervene a little to create paths, viewpoints, campfires and picnic areas for our guests and let nature do the rest.
